PLAYER DEVELOPMENT CENTER:
Field Hockey

The Winning Edge offers
skill sessions for all ability levels throughout the year where players
can continue to develop their stick skills as well as understanding of
the game and stay sharp for their coming season.
The Winning Edge Training will help
you, as a young player, get fitter, stronger, faster, more skillful and become
more important to your team next year.
Our Training Sessions are geared to improve the skills and increase the passion
for field hockey of each player, in a positive learning environment. You'll
master fundamental skills, improve your technique and fall in love with field
hockey.
Our staff members
are experienced coaches with Division I and Division II playing
experience. Several of our coaches are presently coaching at the
collegiate level. All of them are eager to share their insights and
considerable experiences.
To be
the best field hockey player you can be - concentrated skills training from an
outstanding coaching staff is not only fun, but also a necessity!

Spring
2008 Field Hockey Skills Training
Session:
The Winning Edge
Sports Center will be hosting Spring Field Hockey Training Sessions.
Instruction will be given by The Viper Field Hockey Coaching Staff,
which is comprised of college coaches and former collegiate Field Hockey
players.

Monday Nights
starting March 31st and end on May 19th.
|
| The
training session will run for 8 weeks from 7:00pm – 8:30pm
|
|
Cost for the 8-week
session is $110 per player.
|
| Players
will be divided by age groups on 2 courts |

Private & Semi - Private Lessons
Athletes come and join our program to get
quality training, personalized coaching, and access to the most current field
hockey strategies and skills.
Lessons are conducted indoors at our facility by
members of the Viper Field Hockey Coaching Staff. Fill out the On Line
Registration Form and we will get in contact with you about payment and when the
lessons will start. Semi Private and Small Group Lessons will be grouped by age.
Request to set up lessons with specific players
for the Semi Private and Small Group Lessons will be honored if we have prior
notification.
Rates:
Individual: $55 per hr
Semi Private: 2 players - $45 each per hr
Small Group: 3 or 4 players max - $35 each per
hr
Goalie Training:
Individual: $55 per hr
Semi Private: 2 goalies - $45 each per hr

Designed
specifically for boys and girls ages 8-11, Stick Starz
introduces young players to the game while building a
foundation of solid skills. So whether your young athlete
dreams of being an Olympic star or just wants to have a
lifetime of field hockey fun and fitness, can get them
started today.
How future stars get
started.
Start young, have fun and love the game. Stick Starz
focuses on a fun method of teaching skills through small
games.
Stick Starz consists of eight, 1 ˝ hour sessions with
45 minutes dedicated to skill development and 45 minutes of
fun, small games designed to enhance and reinforce the skill
development portion of the program.
The USA Field Hockey
National Coaching staff developed the Stick Starz program
based on the skills necessary to develop good, sound field
hockey fundamentals. In addition, Stick Starz athletes
receive expert instruction from the same knowledgeable
Olympic Development staff currently coaching in the Futures
program. Athletes reaching the age of 12 or entering 7th
grade may be recommended into USA Field Hockey’s Futures
Program from Stick Starz based on their performance.
